ADVANCED PLACEMENT

The Oregon Advanced Placement/International Baccalaureate (AP/IB) Policy Workgroup was established in 2005 by Senate Bill 342, which directed Oregon’s community colleges and public universities to develop uniform standards for awarding college credit for achievement on Advanced Placement exams. Later, the Joint Boards of Education directed the Workgroup to include the International Baccalaureate program. The AP/IB Workgroup annually reviews and revises the policies in light of curricular changes.
